: How much Calyx Manifold Coating to use?

I have the stock manifolds on my '73  . Yuk. Down the road, I will install headers, but for now the manifolds are just plane cast iron and ugly.

I'm thinking about using Calyx Manifold Dressing (http://www.calyxmanifold.com/prod01.htm) to give them a better look.

I am not planning on removing them to apply this product. The jar that you purchase looks pretty damn small and runs about $19.00 from Eastwood Company (http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=12556&itemType=PRODUCT&RS=1&keyword=manifold).

How much or how many jars should I purchase to do a good thorough job on the manifolds? Does this stuff last or is constant touch ups necessary?

I used this product on my 64 Chevy and it worked great. I used my finger to smooth the product on. The small jar went a long way. I drove the car about 3,000 miles a year to shows and cruises and had to touch the manifolds up about 2-3 times a year. I only had to buy the one jar and used it for 2 years.
