i bought a fuel level gauge at pep boys. it says to use it with sender # so,so,so. question. that sender is if you dont have one right?.can i hook the gauge using the wiring for the factory gauge?my gauge works fine, just can not see it.i am building a panel to replace the factory one.it is too deteriorated,and can hardly see thru it.will put amp,temp,oil pressure and aftermarket speedo on new panel.any advice appreciated. will search for more info here.tks.

The stock sending unit is 90 ohms at full and 0 ohms at empty. If this is compatible with your Pep Boys gauge, then it'll work.
