I have a 84 Cabillero 305 4bl. (ECM 1226455) I'm thinking about upgrading to tbi from a C or K series pickup also with a 305 and a 1227747 ECM.

I would like to attach most of the existing sensors like the VSS, O2, coolent temp, knock, etc to the new computer.

I found the wiring diagram for my ECM on this site at http://elcaminocentral.com/articles/wiring/862.gif
but it doesn't seem to be very complete. The ESCM, VSS, AC etc are not shown. Does any one have a more complete diagram?

hello; I have a 1985 el camino with a 4.3 V6 with a 1226868 ECM. I swapped out the 4.3 with a 5.7 TBI used the same harnass, just plugged in the 1227747 ECM. Have lots of data that may help if you want to convert. Mine is a 5.7 with mild RV cam CS-274, Is a 1978 block with late model TBI manifold adapted. Has a 4 speed saginaw and installed a posi 3:08 rear. I mean it really cranks. If i can be of any assistance, drop me a line at daranit@juno.com

I found this wire diagram for a 1984 Olds ECM that looks very similar to the 1984 El Camino ECM.

I have a knock sensor that looks to be connected under the dash to the ESC?. I'm still trying to figure out if it connects to the ECM

I found a site that has a diagram for building a cable that you can attach your laptop computer to your ALDL. He also has free software called winaldl that will show what every device that is connected to the ECM is doing. Looks to be compatible with GM carbureted and TBI ECMs from 84 to 95
