: New seats and console are in (PICS)

It took a few days and a few mods but the new seats are in the Elky. The seats and console are from a 2002 Monte Carlo. Originally they were power drivers and manual passenger but the racks would not fit down into the Elky. I found a pair of G-body Grand Prix tracks, sanded and painted them and they mounted right up. The console needed some shoehorning and a bit of shaving on the base but everything fits like a glove now. A Megashifter is yet to go in, hopefully next week.

Sometime this summer the seats will be recovered in leather but for now these are fine.

The original bench is in perfect condition, recovered in grey vinyl, bowties embroidered on the headrests. If anyone is interested, local pickup only (LI)

Nice install! I would have never thought a late model Monte console would look so good, but it does go well in the Elky.

Those seats look real nice in there. Do you have plans for the floor shift spot in the console?

I wish there were more pictures of 4th generation bucket seat / interior mods on this site.

for those of us with a solid bench does anyone have anything other than the $5 plastic trash/cup holder from Pep Boys on their hump? I'd like to have a little unit for drinks and to hold my cell and maybe my iPod ..... any ideas or is it off the the woodshop and build myself?

Super job! Hope mine turns out as nice...

I am interested in what shifter you will be using. I have a console from a 98 Blazer. Floor shift equiped. May try the original. Currently have a 700R4 and need the 4 sp shifter. Any ideas?

By the way, I want to thank you guys for great ideas and a super site. Great info...

If you only need a drink holder, one of the better ones comes from Classic Consoles. You may like it.

Now all you need to add is a B&M style shifter to fill one of the holes in the console.
Otherwise very nice.

I just clicked on the link and their site came up instantly. If it doesn't work for you, maybe you can do a Google search.

The holder is called Plug & Chug and it slips into the ashtray tracks. Don't be mislead by the Mustang stuff. They make em for Caminos too.

Take care.

Teamneon,

Yes, I see the site difficulty. I have sent an email to try to determine info to post. Here is an active link that may give you a visual.

I will update when they respond.

Take care.

I saw this once on ebay but the listing ended. Supposed to fit along with a 1-din radio in the present radio spot or install undert the console. It has a drink holder and a storage drawer. Maybe some searching could turn it up.
