Does anyone have a copy of a diagram for a gas sending unit on an 86 Elky? I have one wire coming from teh top of the gas tank towards the rear that has come off of somthing, but the other end seems to be going to the top of the tank and anotehr wore with a connector in front of the tank that doesn't have anything attached.. it doesn't look like they go together but since my gas gauge isn't working I'm hoping a diagram will tell me something about these two wires..my gas gauge is pegged passed full all the time. (replaced circuit board and got another gauge set)

Just thought I'd post a follow up to my issue with teh gas gauge.
The wire that was disconnected was a ground that rusted off so I replaced the connector and put a new screw in and the gas gauge works and so does the volts.
if anyone else is having this problem the wire that was causing my problem was located near the rear bumper approx. in the middle just in front of the gas tank and it was connected to the drivers side frame .
