Hi, I am a new member to this site. I just got my uncles 1971 SS El Camino which has been sitting in his backyard for years. It needs some body work along with interior but that's not as important right now. It runs and everything and has alot of performance parts on it. I am looking for a good inexpensive place to get a hood, quarter panel, fenders, and a tailgate. The hood and quarter panel may not have to be replaced but incase it does. The tailgate has a rusted out botom but may also be fixable but would rather get another. Also, the power of the car was never able to be used because the rear end is bad. What should I do about this. I heard getting another rear end would be very costly. Also, heard it could rebuilt but would this let the power to be used. Any would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks guys.

Might try the news papers for part the parts are not cheap and the shipping is a killler for those trucked items, There are loads of these parts in my papers weekly, same for the rear end used and get a direct bolt in. I bought an entire extra elco 72 for the frame $400 used the rear end and lots of other parts, good luck E d ke6bnl
