k 05-01-2005, 07:23 PM I AM A NEWBIE AND RECENTLY BOUGHT AN 84 CABALLERO WITH A 305. THE PROBLEM IS ON HEAVY ACCELERATION THE CARB HAS STARTING STICKING . I PUT SOME CARB CLEANER IN HOPING THIS MIGHT HELP BUT IT DIDN'T. ANY SUGGESTIONS. I WOULD ALSO LIKE A WEB SITE FOR FINDING PARTS txbusa 05-01-2005, 07:54 PM Sounds like it might be a cable issue instead of a linkage issue. Did you check to see if the cable is binding somewhere? Have a friend hold down the gas, engine off, while you check the operation under the hood. Make sure the gas pedal isn't binding due to carpet or floor mat issues too. Be very careful... sometimes they stay stuck! 8O John 8) spoonplugger 05-01-2005, 08:29 PM You may have to disconnect the throttle cable from the carb to determine where the binding happens to be.
