Even though we had to cancel our entry in the Michigan State Parade (not enough members) I'm going to try this again....

We have been invited to participate in the Sumpter (Belleville, MI) Country Fest Parade, Saturday, May 28, 2005 (Memorial Day weekend).

This year's theme is Red, White and Blue - Patriotic so basically, all you need to do is slap on an american car flag, and you're all set! I've already set up our "float"...

(Uncle Sam is holding a NECOA sign)

Assembly will be at 10:30 am, with step off at Noon.

I must turn in our registration form by Wednesday, May 11, so please RSVP on this post, so that I know you will be coming. I'm looking to get a minimum of 5 members to participate.

So c'mon guys, so many of you say you want to cruise, so let's cruise!

As long as the weather will cooperate, I will be there.

That's great! Remember, it doesn't need to be a show car, just driveable!

I'll email details to everyone when the date gets closer.

Like our slogan says, "Interesting people drive interesting cars." So C'mon folks, let's show everyone how intersting our rides are.

We will be meeting for the parade at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 28, at "Tinpan" restaurant, 19350 Sumpter Rd, Sumpter Twp, MI 48111-8724 (http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&1ahXX=&address=19350+Sumpter+Rd&city=Sumpter+Twp&state=MI&zipcode=)

(We will most likely head back to Tinpan after the parade for lunch and a beer or two!)

For anyone that would like to join us, please email me so that I can give you my cell phone number.

Looks likes you all had a good time. Nice seeing a parade of El Camino's. They all looked great. Major props to 77SS for organizing and taking the lead in the parade participation. Nice job Steve.

And you gotta give props to the Steve's daughters for taking some very good pictures. Great job girls.

Hey, can we get the names and/or ID's of the members rides to go along with the pictures?

Is that second in line Elky, the green 5th El Camino a member? I'd like to ask him a question about his ride.
