Check out my page tell me what you think. I really need some ideas in what i can do on a 16 year olds budget, and where i can get good parts cheap.

Evening Errol. Nice Elky. Wish I had an elky when I was 16. Not sure of your style or what you'd like in an Elky. I'm a little older and prefer the old style. You can check out my Elky at the web site under my signature below.
I checked out your web site. The main thing that really stands out to me and concerns me would be the rust in the frame. I'm up here in New England and a rusty frame is "death bell". I just got rid of second Elky that had a rusty frame and it almost buckled and broke winching it on the flat bed. Yes, the guy who bought it new the frame was bad and just wanted it for the motor and some sheet metal.
Would hate to hear that you spent a lot of money and effort, but have to get rid of the Elky because of a bad frame.

Welcome to ECC ERL Camino!
I agree about the rust. I looked at your pictures and read the part about the rust too. Before you invest anything into your Elky get a profesional opinion about fixing the rust. Frame rust can compromise the saftey of any vehicle. And if the frame is rusted then so are the brake lines.

The frame is pretty soild. However back where it bolts to the rear bumber one side is pretty rusted the other is ok. I think that it can be fixed by welding in some steel box or something . I dont know im not an expert on frames.
