All the car I've just bought has is an original AM radio. Not too cool if you enjoy listening to music while driving.... Anyway, I'd like to find a AM/FM + cassette radio to replace it, but I would like for it to have the original 1970's aspect as my car is all original. I wouldn't mind CD as long as it's not too obvious. Does anyone know where I can find a new "old style looking" radio like the one I need? How much should I be paying for this sort of stuff???
Thanks,
Eric

Morning Eric. Check out Custom Autosound radio's at Custom AutoSound (http://www.custom-autosound.com/)
They have units that also control an external CD changer. I have their model "USA-5" without the CD. I went with this model because I did not want to cut the dash. Good sound, but I will have to add the CD changer and amp to really make it sound great when funds permit. Need the extra amp to really "push" the sound out.
I think Kenwood also makes an old style "shaft type" replacement.

I cut mine so that I could use a modern CD player in my 76. It wasn't that tough but if you're looking to keep that Factory look then a knobbed unit is probably the way to go.

Pioneer and Kenwood both used to make AM/FM Cassete radios with modern digital tuning and the 2 Knob style. I used to have a pioneer one in my 75 elky- Fit like a glove.
I believe the Custom Autosound units are actually rebadged kenwood ones, so that would be okay too...
You might try looking on ebay- Should still be a lot of those things out there.
