I recently installed a pair of s-10 bucket seats in my '85 el camino. the thing is they don't recline. I was looking at the old seats and noticed the mechanism that lets them recline is just held on by some bolts. would it be possible to swap them over to the new seats?

I'm just guessing but I'd say no. If the seats are not already reclining seats then I doubt that you would be able to just change a few bolts to make them recline.

If they do recline and your just missing hardware then go to a Junk Yard and pick up what you really need. But as far as making non-reclining buckets recline by swapping something on the seat backs, I don't think that is possible.
