Hey guys, haven't posted in a real long time but, here goes.......I've finally saved enough money to fix up my 79 elky. New Corvette engine, 350R Tranni w/shift kit, high rise aluminum intake, traction bars, paint, etc. Anyway I bought a B&M Megashifter to go with my new tranni. The problem is that it hits my dash, and when I move it a little back it hits my seat to where I won't be able to use the ratchet system. I've got a 50/50 split bench seat that I just reupholstered and don't want to get rid of. Is there any way I can install it so it'll work??? Any comments, suggestions, pictures, are greatly appreciated!!! I'm 16 and need all the help I can get from you more experienced guys.

If you're putting all the time and money into it put in a pair of bucket seats. There's all kinds of threads out there about bucket seats and shifters. Good luck.
