Ok folks, mark your calendar for Saturday, June 18, 2005. This is the date for the 2005 Gratiot Cruise in Eastpointe MI. Steve Frey and myself will be set up at St Peter's Lutheran Church which is on northbound Gratiot about 1/2 block north of 9 Mile. You cann't miss us. Just look for the El Camino and GMC Caballero. This is a family event and well worth the visit to my hometown. Well not as big as the Woodward cruise, this is one fun cruise. You want to cruise, this is a cruising event. In case you were wondering, yes 9 Mile is 1 mile north of 8 Mile Rd. made famous in the movie by the same name starring Eminem. And no it is nothing like what was depicted in the movie. I travel 8 Mile everyday on my way to work.
It sure would be nice to see an organized presence of El Camino's and Caballero's. What do you guys think. Can we get some commitments from around the area to attend? Let us know.
