I was wondering if anyone has done the headlight conversion on their elky. the one that changes the headlight from the old ones to the new kind that take a newer bulb like the newer cars do (H4 or 9000 series). Curious about the performace and looks of these conversions, may end up doing this later on.

I'm going to put 55/100 low beams with 130 watt high beams in my Elky next week.(I hope)I'm going to use the stock low beam wiring,but I'm using a 40 amp circuit with a relay for the high beams.
I live out in the country with no traffic and lots of deer,I need all the light I can get.On low beam I'll have 110 watts of light and high beam will be 460 watts.Also in this part of Ga. there is no state inspection of cars.

I hear ya on the deer, i live in rural north central indiana and there are tons of deer up here, i i know in my nine years of driving i've nuked three. Hell i hit one on my way home from my wedding reception talk about a bad wedding present. So far we have no inspections here too so i'm thinkin i'll go ahead and go with the conversion with plenty on high beam wattage to light up the road.
