the time has come for me to replace the 2bbl carb on elka. it uses A LOT of fuel, and my car allways smells like fresh gas. too bad i cannot go to a 4 bbl. so, the question is. what replacement carb is available for a 267 engine?. hopefully will be a straight swap.bolt on...tks

Is it that you don't want to swap to a four-barrel carburetor? Or is it that you didn't think they made a four-barrel application?

An Edelbrock EDL-2101 four-barrel manifold will allow you to add a square-bore carburetor such as a Holley or Demon.

EDL-2101 - $115.95 at Summit Racing

I would think an Edelbrock EDL-1400 would be adequate.

It is a 600cfm carburetor with an electric choke. $265.95 at Summit.

Summit used to sell reman. Eddy 1406s for about $200, but it looks like they dont have them anymore. By the way, what's the difference between the 1406 and 1400?

Here are comparisons at the Edelbrock website.
