I recently bought a 1980 305 El Camino, and I would like to know how to reset the check engine light.

: how to reset the check engine light 87ElCamino 07-27-2003, 05:28 PM Welcome to ECC drizzt! The check engine light can be reset by unplugging the fuse for the ECM for a couple of minutes. However, if the ECM detects a problem when you start the car the light will come back on. You should pull the codes to see what is really wrong.
