caspiantiger 06-13-2005, 10:49 AM Ill definetly be there, i think the show is on Sunday. I would really like to race my car but probly wont be able to afford the registration for the race.

Allen
a73elkyss 06-20-2005, 02:32 PM Afternoon Allen. Sounds great. The Super Chevy show is one of the better shows.
Sad to say, July 31st is my wife's, Dian's, birthday. I took her to a car show for her birthday last year, so the precedence is set. But, I still haven't lived it down yet either. Don't get me wrong, she does like car shows, and she is a great sport about it.....but I know she is going just for me and I do appreciate that.
I'm going to have to see how this one plays out
caspiantiger 07-07-2005, 06:06 AM just wanted to get this post going again because there are 3 shows the last week in july, and we need to get more members to go to shows together
caspiantiger 07-18-2005, 07:53 AM Ok i am offically confused, i looked at their site again and it said it was the 22-23, then i found the one that was 29-31, but it said it would cost $45! I thought it said before it was $10 per car? can someone help me
a73elkyss 07-18-2005, 08:22 AM Morning David. From what I understand, the Super Chevy show is the weekend of July 29,30, & 31st. The actual car show where you enter your El Camino is on Sunday the 31st. Gates open at 8:00 AM.
And yes, your correct on the price "Car Show Car and Driver - $45.00". Kinda expensive, but you get a car show, drag racing, etc.
Pro Street Garry 07-18-2005, 10:11 AM I'll be there all weekend :-D
Hope to run into some of you there...
Garry
caspiantiger 07-22-2005, 08:58 PM Im not really sure if Im gana enter this one, $45 is a lot of money when your positive your car wont win. i might just come and hang around, it all depends on how much my next paycheck is.
Im finally getting some bodywork done to my car!! right now im working on filling that big dent, and then the fenders will be next.
Talk to ya later
Dave

a73elkyss 07-23-2005, 07:41 PM Evening Mark and Lauire. Glad you are going to the Super Chevy show next Sunday the 31st. Should be a great show.
Congrats on posting on ECC. You did very well. Once you start posting, you just keep doing it over and over. It's a little addicting, but in a good way.
caspiantiger 07-26-2005, 07:44 PM Guys i dont think this show is on sunda, i think the carshow is on saturday. if you look at the schedule there is no time for a show on sunday, then again when i look at it.... im not sure. It kinda looks like t6he show is all 3 days. so would the $45 be the price for 3 days of carshows? so maybe it's only $15 for the sunday show. I dont know. If its $45 for the whole weekend maybee ill just go to this show. Hey if you guys want to meet up and drive in one day, i can try to find somewhere near by to meet up.

My understanding is that the actual car show is on Sunday. Also, I believe the $45 entrance fee is for one vehicle and ONE driver. If you have a passenger, they have to pay a $22 "spectator" fee.
See you all on Sunday!
caspiantiger 07-29-2005, 01:13 PM Hey just me. Anyone want to meet up on sunday before the show and do a group drive in? Im not sure where your all commming from. we could all meet up somewhere close by and drive in. Anyone want to do this? if so ill try to take a trip down there today and find a good meeting spot.
LKMENO 07-29-2005, 03:19 PM We are planning to go on Sunday. See you there. What time is everyone going to be there?
LKMENO
Sonny & Karen
87ElCamino 07-29-2005, 03:28 PM I'll be there on Sunday but I won't be bringing my El Camino. My son talked me into going to the Super Chevy Show with him instead of going to the Autos of the World car show.

I'm probally gonna pass on the group drive in for this one David. I'll probally get to the gates kinda early.
LKMENO wrote: We are planning to go on Sunday. See you there. What time is everyone going to be there?
Sounds great! I kinda have a little drive to get there, but I like to be there a little on the early side. But that's me. Gates open at 8:00 and if you want to show, I think you have to be there by 10:30.
87ElCamino wrote: I'll be there on Sunday but I won't be bringing my El Camino.
Sorry to hear that your Elco won't be there. But glad you'll be making it Ernie.
87ElCamino 07-29-2005, 09:00 PM I kinda have a little drive to get there, but I like to be there a little on the early side. But that's me.
Translation: Jay will leave his house at 4AM and be in Epping, NH at 6AM.
a73elkyss 07-30-2005, 07:58 AM   you know me to well!
caspiantiger 07-30-2005, 09:18 AM Im gana try to get there early too, want to get a good choice of parking. probly be there around 7:30. Are there different classes for this show? DO THEY HAVE AN ELCAMINO class?. Hope to see you guys there.
Is John harris going to show up do you know Jay? Id like to buy a new shirt and maybe a hat.
a73elkyss 07-30-2005, 09:52 AM caspiantiger wrote: DO THEY HAVE AN ELCAMINO class?
Yes. A seperate total El Camino class.
Are there different classes for this show?
Yes. Within the El Camino class is Stock, Street, and Modified. If your Elco is the same as it was last year when I saw it, you might be able to go into the Stock class.
I don't know if John is going to make it to this show. Hopefully he will. :)
caspiantiger 07-30-2005, 06:27 PM would it still be stock if i filled the big dent in the back with bondo?
well i cant wait to go to this show and see all of you! hopfully they will put us all together.
caspiantiger 07-31-2005, 07:50 PM Hey this show was great!! we had a good turnout of members, even though i didnt like the judging of the show. i think we had 4 members there today. cant wait to see you all again September 11!!!!
a73elkyss 08-01-2005, 07:12 AM Good show, lots of El Camino's, lots of cars, drag racing, jet cars, wheel standers, Nitro Coupes, junk food, etc.
It was good seeing some familiar faces again and nice to meet Sonny and Karen. Sorry I didn't get a chance to chat more, but I did check out your Elco and it is fantastic. I hope we meet again at a future show this year.
Tough competition within the Elco crowd. Mark walked away with a trophy in the modified class. Pro Street Garry had his Pro Street Camero there, and I believe he walked away with top honors in the class??? Am I correct Garry? Congrats to both on a good win.
I started an album under "Members Cars" - "Car Shows". Check out the pic's (http://www.elcaminocentral.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album365&op=modload&name=Gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php)
If you took some pictures, add them to the album.
Did some ECC/NECOA recruiting and gave away all my NECOA business and some flyers. Hope they join up.
Pro Street Garry 08-02-2005, 08:39 AM It was nice seeing all you ECC guys at the show! :)
Again Jay thanks for the newspaper...And Alan for the window sticker.
Jay I keeped on going over to your Elky...and never saw you there?

Congrats Mark! :-D As far as the Pro-Streets went, there where some big money cars in that class! 8O To my surprise they slit the class by years 50's,60's, and 70's. thats the only way I walked away with anything. I didnt think I had a chance.
Had a great time loved the drags and all the nices rides!
Later
Garry
83NHElky 08-02-2005, 09:34 AM It was great seeing so many great Elky's together in one place. It only proves that nice people drive Elky's!
