Hey Guys, I need to replace my window regulator on the passenger side.I was at the glass shop and asked how much to install the regulator.The guy went in the back to look it up ina flat rate book.He came back and told me 2.9 hours of labor.I have never replaced one in a 76 elky,but that seems real high to me.
Anybody got a flat rate book? Could someone look this up and see if the glass guy is right?
I have a petrolem allergy and got some grease on my hands last week and can't barely hold a fork to eat,never mind a wrench or screw driver.I will probably wait until my hands get better and do it myself.
I just want to know if this guy is real or is sticking it to me.

Mitchell manual gives .8 if it's a roll up window regulator, and 1.0 if it's electric. Both of these times are a little low for the work involved.

acauth1 Thank You for the info.I agree .8 seems low,but 2.9 is out of line.I'll wait for the weekend,when a friend said he would help me out.
