Hey folks, haven't posted in a while so just some random nonsense. Visited a car show and swap meet up in Midland and bought this front fender for $15.00 talked the guy down from $20.00. They must of had 100 vendors with anything from complete engines to complete basket cases. Including a Corveir that made my father-n-law chuckle as we walked past. The fender is just a shade different white then what I have.

Also bought a tailgate from ebay for $25.00. Now I am trying to remove the hinge bolts from my old tailgate. Bought a #4 Phillips Head bit and removed them all but one. Think I stripped it out.

Located under the tailgate is a bench seat that I found on the side of the road. Looks like it would fit...if not I can always put it back where I found it.

Talk to you later
Dave

Hi, wish I had your luck. I'm doing a body-off on a 71 and tryin to find ALLOT of parts, but the prices I'm running into really suck :).

Again, HI :)

Hi back atcha. Don't put the seat back where you found it: Keep the environment looking nice :)

Hey rombisoid, visit - http://www.miantiquefestival.com/info.shtml - This is info for the swap meet up in Midland. There is a guy with tables full of NOS Chevelle, Elcamino stuff. I bought some side markers from him. I also remember a couple of guys with 71 doors and fenders. I'm pretty sure they will be there next time. Also, a guy brings a semi load of bumbers to the show.

Hope this helps
Dave

Thx Drifter, for right now, I'm planning on making this trip, only 80 miles or so from here. But if you run across a couple of fenders and a tailgate, let me know :). I'm working on a deal on a tailgate from out-west, but I'm keeping my options open :) Also looking for a pair of 73 Monte Carlo swivel buckets :)
