i changed the starter. It tries to crank over when i spray starter fluid but just won't start.

check that the hot wire is plugged into the distributor, I was doing some work on my car and forgot to connect that, so it was cranking but I wasn't getting any spark, connected that and one the flooding of fuel I'd feed it evaporated, it fired right up.

Was anything changed or did this just start? It could be a lot of things. I know I just attatched my negative battery cable to the frame instead of the engine. I put it back on the engine and it fired right up. I felt stupid, but at least it ran :oops:
