ahh, yes, finally, so my neighbor owns a shop, about 25 mins away that builds nascar showcars and trailers them to different events, showing off the sponsers and the such and he does the occasional street car, well he was an extra motor laying around with dart heads, 10.5-1 compresion scat crank, arp bolts, and some tall intake that he is going to sell to me for 2000, it has about 20 hours on it and the best part is that its coming with headers, ignition, distributor, sparkplug wires, rev limiter, valve covers, and if i want a 4spd (not sure which kind) and a bellhousing, so baisicly the only think i need to get is a carb, i am going to use all the accesories of my old 350, the new one is a 350 as well, so if anyone has any suggestons on where i can get a good, really cheap carb let me know, i am sure i will be upgrading as the money comes but i need to get my baby on the road so i will comprimise power for money, for know at least

use the carb off your old 350?

thats a very good idea, haha, the old 350 had the really old 305 intake so the carb might be off the original 305 but i'll check, either way thanks. haha

If the intake is a single plane, it might be more than you'd want for the street. What else do you know about the engine?

Any cam specs?

Also, just because it comes with headers doesn't mean they will fit your El Camino.

$2K is a lot for a motor that might not be a streetable one.

thats true, i'm not sure about the cam or intake, hopefully i am getting a full build sheet tommarow, and if worst comes to worst i'll just drive the elky at the track and by a beater, acutally, what defines streetable, is it like how smooth the power comes on?
