I posted a question in the Drivetrain Section a while back and got three different answers. I resurrected the thread and asked the same question. Now, no answers!
It was a legitimate question, not like "Where do I put power steering fluid in?".
What's the problem?

I am sorry that you are having a hard time I am sure it is nothing personal. Sometimes threads just get buried or people just don't know what to do for your problem. We are a community of El Camino enthusiasts (horrible speller) with many years of collective experiance and would help you if we knew how. Now my suggestion to you is to invest $15 on a chiltons manual where they have a trouble shooting section. I hope it helps you out.- Matt
Help us out here....
If you already got three answers to your question, then why did you ask it again?
If anyone read the question and had a valid answer, then they would have given it to you.
Most of us won't reply with "I don't know"

Hell, I'll muddy the waters with this info. I found while SEARCHING!!!
From 1964-67, GM A-body rearend housing dimensions measure 56.5 inches, from flange to flange. Total measurements with the drums in place is 60.5 inches. The dimensions are similar to the 1967-69 Camaro/Firebird, and 1968-74 X-cars and clones, except leaf springs were used. 1968-72 rearend housings measure 58.5 inches from flange to flange, and with the brake drums in place, the total dimensions measure 62.5 inches. The dimensions are similar to the 1970-81 Camaro/Firebird, and 1975-79 X-cars and clones, except leaf springs were used.
