When I was cleaning off the road grime from my Proportioning valve on my '80 Caballero, the little rubber cover/plug that I circled in Red came off. Is this damaged, I managed to put it back in, if it is still usable, should I silicone it? I am not sure what this plug covers, looks kind of like a relief valve?

is that valve on the frame? I have a '80 elky with a small leak on the frame right before the clip that holds the line in place...

Press the brakes and see if it leaks if it's already hooked up. I don't think that will cause you any problems, but I forget why they're there in the first place.

It is on the inside of the frame, just under the drivers side. If you follow the master cylinder lines down to just out of sight you will find it.
Your leak sounds like a pinhole blow out from a rusty line. Thats what started my troubles. I bought a full stainless set of lines from Classic Tube. Very pleased with them.

if its a small hole, a bit of jbweld will keep things together until you can do the repair the right way... Always keep that in my car for those emergencies.
