This is one of the best shows around our area. Lots of great looking cars and plenty of friendly people. With this much notice we should really try to have a good turn out this year. Last year there were three El Camino's out of more than 300 cars. we can do better than that. Right now El Caminos are hot and attract plenty of attention no matter what shape they are in. In this part of the country everyone has had one or knows someone who has and they wish they still had it so it has become a real conversation car. Lets give it a try and make a good showing. My registration has already been sent in. See you there Harald K.

Don't wait to long to decide the limit is 300 cars and you have to get there by 8 am to be guaranteed a spot. But don't let that discourage anyone the show is well organized and they take care of everyone very well. Hope we can get a good turn out this year. Harald K.

300 car limit is a bummer when you come from Houston.

We would not be able to decide untill we knew a weather outlook most of us will not drive 150 miles in the rain.

Can't commit and enter this far in advance way to my variables.

I was not aware of a 300 car limit. Guess i need to reread the flyer.

Nobody knows the future.

The most you're out is $25.00 if you think it might rain.

There is a rain date in the event of rain check the flyer. I believe that since it is a charitable event the entry fee is tax deductible. The reason for the 300 car limit is due to space available but that is still quite a few cars by any measure. They use the Rudy's, Outback, and Carabbas Italian restaurant parking lot (the whole lot) and they try to put as many cars in that amount of space as possible. I've attended four years now and have never seen anyone turned away. The number of spectators is out standing they are bussed in from an alternate parking area so there is no problem with regular cars getting in the way. If you enjoy a gathering with good spectator participation, lots of good food, door prizes and a large variety of good looking cars not to mention great people watching Austin is a collage town you know. The Texas classic is worth the drive. Nothing ventured nothing gained. I can understand your concern for the rain since you guys in Houston actually get rain well up here it is a rarity so we don't worry about it much. Harald K

The great thing about owning my own embroidery business is that I already have my design made for my hat for the car show in September.

Will be sending my entry form in Monday. But will have to park in the " I won't be staying all day parking area" as I will have to leave early. But I'll be there somewhere.
