I just recently purchase a 1981 rust free Arizona El Camino. Its all original with 52, 000 miles on the clock... Being an old Kustom guy I wanted to add just a little something to make it a little more eye catching. Im currently running 205/70/14 Narrow White Wall tires. I think that adding set of Chrome Reversed Smooties would give it a nice touch... Now my question is what width rims.... The Chrome reversed wheels are available in 6 or 7 inch rim width for the 14 inchs tires..... Another thought seeing that my tires are in really nice shape is just to leave them on the rims keeping a spare set and purchasing a new set of tires for the chrome reversed wheels.... I have been looking at the Cordovan Broadway Classic Wider width white walls but these are only available in 205/78/14.... I like my Elky to ride low and I know that the increased side wall will raise it a little bit... I just dont want to get involved in a wheel that is going to give me a clearance problem.... Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
