How do you fix a cracked header? The guy i bought it from put that heat-resistant tape over it, but the exaust just busted through it, and now on every rotation around the cylinders that header POPS REALLY LOUD!!! It makes my car sound like a freakin go cart... but then i just blow the $hit out who ever makes fun of it in a race. (350, dynometered at 412hp @ 5500rmps) but every time im at a stop light i want to rip my hair out b/c that poping drives me CRAZY!!! please tell me there is a way to fix it! PLEASE!!!

Sounds like they're rusted. That header wrap will do it over time.

When you said heat resistant tape, I thought you were talking about this:

I know it took forever, and i had to change my user name because my mail server crashed, and in the mean time someone else took my domain name :-( so i had to start all over...
but anyways i ended up finally just getting new headers. I have a friend with a shop, so im saving on installation. I took some pics of the old $hitty headers, and the new wraped and sealed headers...

8) Shoulda got ceramic coated headers! Look better, last longer and keeps under hood temperatures lower! Unfortunatly header wrap tends to help headers rust out sooner. :(

How is that? They are also sealed with high temp silicone sealant... that should keep EVERYTHING out right?

The first thing you need to do is get that thermo wrap off those headers or you will be replacing them again next year. Please read the following link. I agree with this guy 100% and have experienced this firsthand.
