Before everyone starts to laugh, lets look on a map at north central Maryland. See where I-70 crosses I-81. Well there lies a little town of Funkstown. We don't have a lot of big city venues to offer but how about a trip back in time. We have a Volunteer Fire Dept. parking lot that will accomidate about 50 cars on the bank of the Antietam Creek. The Fire Dept hosts a pit Bar-B-Que of beef, or chicken 2 times a month. Across the street is an American Leigion with food and drink. The town park is about 5 min. walk with playground equipment and at least 4-5 antique shops also within minutes walking. We have Prime Outlets about 2 miles away and about 4 gas stations between the town and the interstate.
I know for some it's a drive, about 90 miles from Baltimore. But it will be a change from the rat race that I know you put up with everyday, and there's something for the family. I'm thinking mid or late October. We need to get our act together. If I get enough interest I'll find a date with the Fire Company.
