I have 2 wires coming from the kickdown switch on my '70 w/TH-400: 1-orange and 1-black w/purple stripe. The orange goes to the connector on the side of the trans, but the b/ppl is not hooked up. It has a connector on it and I know it needs to feed 12V to the switch, but I can't figure out where it hooks up. Neither my assembly or service manual shows this. Anybody know? Thanks!!!

The electrical detent (downshift switch) is operated by the throttle linkage. One side of the electrical line has to connect to the fuse panel, the other links to the detent solenoid connector on the side of the tranny. :-)
