I know 'The Mexican' has one and Kevin Costner drives one in 'The Bodyguard'. Anyone know anymore?

8O Holy crap. Who knew there was so many movies with Elky's!

It was pretty funny this weekend cause I finally got the '72 hidden in the garage(I'm giving it to my wife for our anniversary as she always wanted one). She's been pestering me as to what her present is cause I told her that it's to big to hide anywhere else. So I been giving her all these obscure clues of what it might be. She thinks it's either outdoor furniture or a new dining room table

I decided to give her a really big hint but not say that it was a hint. So while at the video store,I said lets rent 'The Mexican'(cause it was one of the only movies I knew that had one in it). She was said" 'The Mexican'? Why the hell would you want to see that?" I was like "well I heard it was good"(which it wasn't). We watched it and she was all excited when she saw the Camino. Then she talked about how one day we should get one http://users.telenet.be/eforum/emoticons4u/evil/1382.gif. Now I'm going to be a smarta$$ and see how many movies we can watch with Camino's in them.

I just caught "The Banger Sisters" on cable TV last weekend, starring Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandan. Funny, funny movie...and Goldie owned her own Elky which was featured prominently in many scenes. This was a "chick flik" with something for us guys.

you might want to check out 'Dazed and Confused' if you can find it anywhere. There's a 77 Elky that's almost a friggin co-star of the movie!

And it's pretty funny to see that little elf kid from Lord of the Rings playing a toked-up pot-head.

:-( I bet the 70s kicked so much ass. Why couldn't the 70's wait just 30 more years?

I almost forgot about the Camino in Gone in 60 Seconds... It's kinda quick but it's there.

In the scene where the little chinese chick is taking Driver's Ed, whenever the black dude gets out of the car, the vehicle that goes by JUST before she hits the van is an El. Boy, if she'd backed out just 3 seconds sooner, I'd have gotten pretty upset. :P

What I want to know is how much time the guy who made the list has on his hands!

Well, how'd the surpise work out???
It went really well. I brought her out by the garage and had her face the other way. I opened the door then put the title and keys in her hand. She turned around and her jaw fell to the ground :D . She was jumping up and down and then walked around the car about 10 times. So I took it out of the garage and she was sitting in it for awile. Then she went and sat on the wall next to the garage for about 20 minutes and just stared at it 8O. She wants to get cracking on the resto ASAP and can't stop talking about it. It's a pretty neat feeling to fulfill someones dreams. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Sorry I didn't post about it sooner as I was away untill yesterday.

I grew up in the 70's(born in 1971). Some people say it sucked, but I guess you see the world through rose colored glasses as a kid cause I thought it was great despite the fact that we don't have the technology that we have today. I remember not being as scared as a kid back then unlike some of the things my kids seem to be scared about today like diseases, terrorists, ect. Only problem back then is our fashion sence was out of wack. I have a picture of myself at about age 7 wearing multi-colored Austin Powers-ish striped pants with a shirt that had the collars ends streched out to the sholders. Very groovy baby!

there is a fifth gen Elcamino 82-87 in "Enemy of the State" with Will Smith and Gene Hackman. real nice blue and white 2 tone paint job. it is driven by Brill (Gene Hackman?). it gets destroyed in an explosion after a car chase and a game of bumper cars with a Bronco. to bad it had to be the Elcamino, oh well at least they saved the kitty. :-D (yes i am a cat person)

There was an El Camino in (I think I'm wrong) Ocean's 11. But Brad Pitt hops into one and proclaims "El Camino!!" Someone tell me what movie that was...
