I purchased a powerball over the weekend and used it on one wheel with the mothers power metal polish and was not happy with the results. The ball tears eaisly and it does not do the great job as advertisied. I polished for about 30 min on one wheel and the results was not great, I feel I could have achived the same results by hand with a more agressive polish in about the same amount of time. I am now looking for a more agressive polish for my alum wheels.

I agree, I also bought one but it's so much effort to use in tight spaces that I can do a better, faster job by hand. If you want to use a rotary polisher use a buffing goblet, it's much better! http://wttool.com/p/5355-0270

By the way, you don't need an aggressive polish, you can use rouge. Depending on what cutting and polishing power you want a rouge stick is so easy and provides outstanding results. http://wttool.com/c/53570005p

Hey Leo....They have different rouges.......Since I have never used this produt before, I'd like to know which one is best. My rims are in great shape, but some of the new shine is gone.
Tahanks for any info,

I use the Tripoli (brown) one to cut really badly oxidized parts. For example I used it to polish aluminum AC parts and hose ends in the engine and they are now mirror smooth. The white is then used to bring out the final lustre. You then need to use a metal polish to remove any leftover rouge and rouge wax and to protect the metal.

I'm no expert, that is just what I do but I know there are much more sophisticated users out there. Whenever I'm not sure what to do and I need some really useful info and instruction I go here (http://www.caswellplating.com/buffs/buffman.htm)
