Well I went ahead and did it.460 watts on high beam. :cool: 55 watts on low beam with a cut off point just above the bumper.I bought the Hella 165 MM conversion kits from Susquehanna Motorsports.I spoke to Dave,nice guy,easy to talk to and knows his stuff.Good price too.I put 55/100 watt bulbs in low beam set and 130 watts in each high beam set.The high beams run off a 40 amp relay direct from the battery.
On low beam,on coming traffic gets LESS glare.However I will be real careful with high beams.
I also painted the dash reflectors gloss white,picked up some 5 watt bulbs from Walmart and now its almost TOO bright.
I bought new tail light housings and lens from Rick at ElCamino parts.Excellent parts and service,another great place to shop with a smart person to speak to.Great prices here also.
