Harald K 09-04-2005, 09:12 AM My registration was sent last month actually July. I will be there I have a brand new Hat and a new shirt that beg to be worn. Last time I looked at the Texas Classic web site there were about 150 cars registered I expect a lot are waiting until these next couple of weeks to sign up. The price of gas will also discourage some that had planned to go. This is one of the events I don't want to miss so I have placed it high enough on the list above some less prominent. I will be there. Harald K
2-Elkys 09-04-2005, 07:30 PM I have pre-registered and have a room reserved will be driving up friday from Houston with a friend and his Mustang.
We will be headed back Saturday after the show.
Of course still depends on the weather if it is pouring rain i just donated $25 dollars to make a wish.
Elky 83 09-04-2005, 08:30 PM If its not raining I'll be there. Am bringing up a friend who has a 64 Thunderbird. But hes a good guy anyway.
Does anyone know if we will be able to park together?
Mike
Harald K 09-05-2005, 08:09 AM As long as you arrive together you can be pretty much be assured that you will be able to park together. It is a well organized event and directions are provided from the registration point to the display area. Do not sleep in Saturday morning you need to be at the Church where the check in point is early, that way you will be assured a good parking spot some areas actully have shade. Some like to be close to Rudy's where the drinks and food are. Just make sure your friend is behind you when you pull in. Rain you know how it is here in Texas, but the past few years we have not had rain at any time. I think I did get rained on once going home, late afternoon shower. Hope to see you all there. Harald K.
Elky 83 09-05-2005, 11:31 AM I thought on the entry form they had a place to see if you wanted to park with your club affiliation? Maybe I was wrong about that. But o-well it should be a good show anyway. Hope to see you all there.
Harald K 09-05-2005, 01:31 PM Yes you can park with your club but everyone must arrive at the same time. It is difficult to save spaces for someone who may be coming later. They try to fill up from one end of the lots toward the other. since it is not just one large parking lot and more like a number of smaller lots linked by drive ways once they fill an area it becomes difficult to maneuver back into a filled area just for one or two spots. Like I said arrive together and all will go well. I'm sure we won't have any trouble finding one another. Harald K
acauth1 09-05-2005, 05:52 PM Since I have two shops that will be open on Saturday, I probably will not be entering the show, but will attempt to find some time to come visit you guys.
Harald K 09-06-2005, 11:21 AM Two shops my goodness are you trying to become the Baron of Roundrock? I hope you do get to come by and say hi. Besides I need to talk to you about moving that big A/C hose from over the top of my air filter. Don't forget that old "saying about all work and no play". Harald K
txbusa 09-18-2005, 08:06 AM Won't be long now.
Chance of rain according to the forecast.

Harald K 09-18-2005, 03:58 PM I've been keeping an eye on the forecast it is still early in the week but our local forecast looks very good for the Austin area. Right now we are not showing any percentage of rain for Austin. It odes look like it will be pretty HOT! See you there. Harald K
txbusa 09-18-2005, 04:32 PM Got this off of Yahoo:

I'd take some 86* weather. 100* in Dallas today.

Harald K 09-18-2005, 04:39 PM John you should know better, this is Texas you can't trust the weather more than 24 hours in advance and even then it is a guess. I just watched the weather man say it was going to be partly cloudy with 92 degrees for Saturday. even if it rains it will most likely catch you going home late Saturday. You guys get much more than we do down here. Harald K
txbusa 09-18-2005, 04:43 PM I agree about the weather forecasting.
I am just hoping for cooler weather.
Regardless, I am looking forward to a great car show.
Going to leave Dallas about 9:00am on Friday. Got to get down there and clean the car... again.

Harald K 09-18-2005, 07:49 PM I've been doing some cleaning this weekend, and plan to take Friday off to do last minute preparation. I'm hoping it won't get to dirty during the week. Dust is the biggest problem right now with it being so dry. Harald
