Having lived in Hawaii for most of my life and not having any snakes there, I could use some help in identifing this snake. Any help would be appreciated. I figure it must be harmless, but am interested. I would think it would also be harmless if not messed with.

Looks to be a corn snake. They are native to Texas all along the Edwards Plateau where you are located. They feed on small animal(mice, birds, frogs,etc.) and should be non-venomous. Suprised you saw it in daylight though, they're nocturnal.
