I about got sideswiped by a teenaged girl yesterday as she was reaching for her damn cell phone. Stupid! Is a phone call REALLY that important?!?!

I wanted to say something witty like "Fer sure, fer sure" but NO, no cell phone call is that important that you or anyone would cause an accident. Unfortunately there are more and more people using them while driving. Fortunately there are more and more local ordinances being passed requiring hands free cell phones. Pull over and talk if it's that important! Another one that really irratates me, is people that put their reclining seat just about all the back while driving and can hardly see over the dash. If you wanna relax, stay at home and buy a Lazy Boy. Even caught my own son twice doing it in my Caddy, first time he got warned, second time he didn't get to use the car for a week.

Hey guys,

I have a hands free set, I'm a truck driver so I need one. It has a earphone and boom mike and I have everybody I need to call on speed dial. When I'm in real heavy traffic say like The big A (Atlanta), If somebody calls me I'll tell them I'll call back when it's a little less hairy out there. I really don't want to be talking on the cell bumper to bumper at 70mph, that's suicide. I see a lot of people either doing 55 or 85 talking on their cells.

I have a story to tell... Me and my friends were on the freeway driving at around 65-70. And we had to keep swerving... Not real hard but to make sure we didn't hit this guy that kept drifting into our lane.. And when we got right next to him, he was talking on his cell phone, and driving with his knees!

When I was in driver's education, my teacher gave me an article telling about all the things (other than cell phone related) that people have been seen doing here in Wisconsin on the freeway -- if anyone's interested, let me know and I'd be glad to dig it up! Puts a whole new perspective on whether or not cell phones are the only huge problem..

I got rear ended once by a young girl that said she was reaching for her phone that was ringing. We were pulling up to a RED light. Fortunatly the speed was low, but I still made her go through the entire accident routine of insurance info, then I got her phone number and called her parents to let them know what had happened. I'm pretty sure that a red light will get president over a ringing cell phone in the future.

peaking of the cell phones and driving I seen my topper of stupidity there was a guy going down the road talking on a cell phone the only REALLY dumb part was he was riding a chopper style bike. no helmet, flying down the road, and talking on a cell phone now with the engine going can you even hear the person? much less steer? I have never driven one but aren't they hard as hell to steer? I had to do a double take to see if it was an actual cell phone. When I though people couldn't be any more of a moron...

One of my favorite sitings was in Houston a few years ago. Lady was driving a new Cadillac down Memorial Drive on a flat front left tire and holding the cell phone out the window.

I think... That is the problem today. Everyone is in a great big hurry. Rush to the store or School or to Work. Don't let traffic trying to merge onto a freeway in, your in too big of a hurry or you just might get to your exit 3 seconds later. Call the girlfriend, boyfriend or whom ever just when you get on the freeway because you just might miss something they did or said or what ever.

Ignore the guy with the turn signal on he doesn't want to change lanes anyway that is generally why he put on his blinker just to throw you off. Tailgate me because I am only dong 75 in a 60 and you want to be going 76 in a 60. So now I am to blame for all your plagues and woes in life and when you do finally go past me show me how many brain cells you have in your head by holding up the appropriate finger.

Traffic is such a hassle. I travel a crowded freeway (183 E/W) or 635 in Dallas or Loop 12, always good for at least one wreck a day. Its dangerous.

The Bumper sticker said "Speed on Brother, Hell ain't half full" Do people even care about their cars anymore? Just doesn't make any since!
