Mama Mayhem 09-10-2005, 10:29 PM Hubby and I are moving to Alabama and I'm looking for a 1/4 mile drag strip close to the Anniston/Oxford area, where I can play around with the street legal drags on a friday or saturday night preferably. There is a good drag strip in Huntsville, may be a stretch at about 80-90 mi. Believe it's NHRA . Should be some other wildcat strips down there. Again, welcome. I'm trying to find one as close to Anniston as possible just for having fun, not serious racing. The closest to me is cottonwood, but that is probably 200 to 250 miles from your area. It looks like Steele is the closest at 55 miles from Anniston, unless there is one in west Georgia. Otherwise I'll get in touch with Steele and find out they're schedule, for next season.
