Ok so i have been saving for the last couple months and i am almost ready to have a new 350 droped in my 73 ss elky. I called a place here in chas SC. and they told me $2500.00 parts and labor and 1 year warrenty ,is this average or what? , does any body know of anyplace else that will do it? Is this a good price? Some people said that was a little high....any help is oh soo welcome,

That is not a bad price "IF" it's a reputable shop that can and will honor the warranty!


If you figure $1300-$1400 for a GM crate motor that leaves the rest for labor. at todays labor rate that's not as bad as it could be. Just make sure you are dealing with a competant mechanic/shop!!!
