they have been working on a 80-81(?) elky on a couple of their shows. The last episode they were putting a drivers side quarter panel on.
I can't wait to see it finished, but they don't keep on it from week to week, so it could be awhile.

Interesting. It's says they started with a GMC Caballero, then found an '87 El Camino body that was much better. So they are working on the El Camino body and Caballero chassis.

Thank goodness my cable company decided to give me back both the Speed channel and Sci Fi last weekend without having to upgrade to digital. I remember when they started that project, thought it might give me some good insight as to how to work on my elky... 8)

I was wondering if thats the same elky they put the 502 big block in on the shade tree garage last year.because it put some good rwhp way over 400 horse power at the wheels. 8)
