Had the right side lower ball joint come out the other night, almost on the interstate. I fiqured I was lucky. So how do you replace the lower ball joint, I have the tire off and the joint was pulled out of the bottom socket. Whats the fix on this. Can I do it myself? Thanks for the help :)

The lower ball joint is pressed in. The tool to remove it, and install a new one is called a ball-joint press. This is a big C-clamp with a hole in the bottom and some adapters. It looks like this (http://store.summitracing.com/largeimage.asp?part=SUM-W89304). You can usually rent one locally, or Summit sells one for $109.95 (SUM-W89304).
It's not too hard to do (I did both of mine). The trick is to get the new ball joint lined up properly, and going in evenly. If is gets a bit cocked, you'll have problems.

I whimped out and took my lower control arm off and took it to a frame shop and had them press them in for me... it wasn't too expensive.
I believe that you were BLESSED; not lucky

As mentioned, a ball joint press is the way to go. It makes the job a breeze!! Much better then the BFH method
