The car color code is KK, Tripoli Turquoise and the trim code is black. Does anyone know if the tailgate gets blacked out between the two horizontal mouldings ??

I'm sure there was the paint on the tail gate for an SS. I really think its looks great too as it gives balance to the eye. Not seeing all one color. I have a '70 with the SS paint theme and thats the last step I have to do is paint the black color across the tail gate to match the black hood stripes. My '70 is a el camino "classic" model and they came originally with the wood grain tape on the tail gate...again just gives the back end more balance. So for sure paint it!
