ANYBODY OUT THERE HAVE ANY PICTURES OF A HI TOP CAMPER FOR MY 85' EL CAMINO? WHERE I MIGHT FIND ONE? I NEED ONE ABOUT 4 FT. HIGH. TO PARK MY POWER CHAIR IN THE BACK 24/7. I NEED TO PROTECT IT FROM RAIN AND THE ELEMENTS. DON'T WANT IT TO SHORT CIRCUIT ON ME OR GET RUSTY. SUCKER COST $8,000. THATS MORE THAN WHAT THE EL CAMINO COST ME. I CERTAINLY DON'T WANT TO BUY A VAN ! DID I MENTION THAT IT'S A BIG AND HEAVY POWER CHAIR.

That might be a tough one Roy. I don't think I've ever seen a high top camper type shell for a 5th gen elky that has a 4ft clearance. Doesn't mean that there isn't one out there, just maybe tough to find.
I assume you've tried the phone book and called a local or regional camping / trailer / shell company. Maybe they can give you some avenues to pursue.
Best of luck.

I GUESS THAT MEANS I'M OUT OF LUCK. IT'S JUST A HASSLE TO LOAD AND UNLOAD. WHEN I COULD JUST LEAVE IT IN THE BACK. THE CHAIR ALONE WEIGHS 325 LBS. NOT COUNTING THE RAMPS. THANKS ANYWAY!!! P.S. DEEP DOWN I DON'T KNOW WHICH IS WORSE A CAMPER OR A ROOSTER.(see HALL OF SHAME).

Its a Stockland. I was able to find a few for sale online. It came with my Elky. Mine is a little beat up. Some kid broke out a couple of windows on it and the rubber seal that goes around the front is coming off too. I may end up keeping it for a while but who knows.
If there was a way to get it to you I'd sell it in a heartbeat. Keep faith man. Someone will be selling one somewhere.
I'd call a new one in the $600 or $700 range. Most used ones will dirt cheap.

I don't think you're going to find a new one anywhere anymore. They just don't make them, not enough demand.
Go to an aluminum camper place, they can make anything you need, for a price. The last time I checked to have a specialty aluminum camper made so I could clear a snowmachine in the bed, it was about $1200.
Is yours 4 feet high from the bedfloor to the camper ceiling File 5?

I think I can safely say that it is a full four foot. Its down at my parents place in Pa so I can't exactly walk out the door and check it. If it isn't 4 foot, its damn close, It definetly rises above the roofline of the elky though.
Motor, yea tubing is awesome there, I was down there this past summer for two weeks for my wedding and my brother-in-laws and I spent almos everyday on the river while the wife was running around dealing with the girlie part of the wedding. It was good.
