Its time for me to find a winter beater to drive so the camino doesnt get subjected to another NJ winter. Id love to find some ****beater fwd 5spd that needs some engine work that i can pick up cheap and fix. Anyone got any ideas were to look? no one advertises broken cars.

I would give you my '93 Eagle Talon (a 5speed wrong-wheel drive) but since I'm in Texas and I don't want to subject a fellow El Camino buddy to the curse of owning and maintaining these cars, I'll have to wish you luck in your search this time. :)

sometimes autotrader will have beat cars for pretty cheap. you can also try ebay, and look in your region. not too long ago there was a 86 camry that sold for like 200 bucks. and it only needed a tune up.

I just picked up a 94 cavalier 5spd in good shape for 1 grand. Runs great, should be perfect for what i need.
