is it dificult to do at home?. is it a matter of jacking the tranny some and replacing it?. is one of those "poly" mounts good? tks.

Not difficult at all - put floor jack under trans remove or slide crossmember back - replace mount
Don't know about poy mount never used any

now i am at a loos for sure. the motor mounts and the tranny mount are fine. i see a "ring" around the shaft, i feel the hit under the car but i cannot find the source. can a bad spring cause it?

elka79 I may have missed the details but where is the ring on the driveshaft what is it next to you would figure if there is a ring on the shaft there has to be another shiny spot somewhere. when does it rub
