On chome aftermarket pieces like valve covers,timming covers,oil pans,dip sticks etc..
Who has the best chrome quality?I been buying pro form.
Just wanted to know does any brands stand out?
Such as MR.GASKET,SPECTRE,PRO FORM,TRANS DAPT,SUMMIT,MILDON ETC..I have a lot of PRO FORM parts in boxes.Just want to know before i put them on if any companys stands out.Kinda silly question, but im kind of a perfectionist.

I like useing the Summit and Chevy performance products brands. As far as I am concerned "Chrome is Chrome" it can always be polished.

oooohh nooooo... there are vast differences in quality, clarity, color, depth, and durability. Most of the cheap stuff when it tarnishes or burnishes from underneath can't be salvaged no matter how much you polish it.

Triple plated chrome, that's the best quality. I know for sure that Summit and Proform accessories are triple plated...not sure about the others. You should be good with your Proform pieces. :cool:

In the past i have bought no name cheap chrome acc.. And they used much thinner steel, and will rust much easier.Also the depth isnt there.
Thats why i asked cause "chrome is not chrome".
Thats why there is such a thing as cheap chrome.
I know all company's dont use the same process.
Thats why i bought so far all pro form cause they tripple.
Also got a summit oil pan.cause trust in summit.
