My ignition lock cylinder is giving me some problems and I think its probably just worn to the point of needing to be replaced on my 82 Elky.

So, I'm looking on Oreilly Automotives website to see what they have and the price.

They show a brand called Lockworks for $9.99 in stock or a Delco (which might have to be ordered) for $16.99.

Now I realize Delco stuff is usually good quality material, but its almost twice the cost of the other brand and only has a one year warranty, where the other brand has a lifetime warranty and for less money.

If Delco is so good I wonder why such a short warranty period for a lot more money!

I know another $8.00 isn't going to break me but I'm just curious if any of you have purchased any of the cheaper brand lock cylinders and if you had any problems with them or not.

I think SOME car parts in the cheaper brands are just like generic medicine, works just as good as the name brand but for less money.
I just don't know if thats the case here or not. Anyone know or have any input on this?
Thanks!

8) I used the cheaper one from AutoZone and it's been in 8 years with no problems.
