Hey People, I'm now an official ECC/NECOA member, how bout that. I thought I'd say hi, and make my official introduction. ( My first post, let's see if I screw it up!) Anyhoo, I'm Mark, aka - mgs72elky I'm out of New Bedford, Ma, and am really, really looking foward to the spring, the shows, and runs etc. and of course meeting many of you, and your elkys. I have a 72 elky that I'm fairly proud of, and I'm glad to be a member of this club. This club, and you all, seem to be a class act. So there, I've done it. Later.....

Glad you found us! I've been here only a few weeks and I agree. These guys and gals are great for both technical information and moral support.

I think you'll find that pictures are a real crowd pleaser. The more the merrier.

Welcome Mark! Hope to have you join us at some meet-and-greet functions as soon as snow season ends. It started here officially today with about 2-3 inches on my white '83 Elky.

Welcome Mark, from Rhode Island. A coworker of mine lives in New Bedford. We both work in Newport, so you aren't that far away. Perhaps next year our paths will cross.

My Elky arrived in April of 05 and things haven't slowed down since. Jay is an excellent regoinal host and the ECC website is packed with humor, excellent technical info and encouragement.

Nice ride you have there!. From the pictures, a real "beaut".

In case you don't find plenty to keep you busy there locally, a couple of car shows next year that I think would be worth the hour-long ride West are:

In May The All Chevy show in Cumberland RI;
Autos of the World show Goddard State Park in RI in July;
The Attleboro Mass (La Sallette) show in August;
Toward the end of the season there's Fort Adams in Newport RI.

There were 2 others in the region that I missed last year, New Hampshire and Northern Mass. Jay posted the pics in this section. If you haven't already, check them out when you can.

Take care, welcome again and hope to meet you soon.

Mike

Hey, What can I say, this is a cool club/site. Ernie, Jayachtee, PaPa John, John H., Jay ( who has been more than great ), and now Mike, aka mnunn. You guys have really made me feel welcome. Many of you already feel like friends, even though we haven't met. Damn, I can't wait for spring. And Mike, thanks for the compliment and the heads up on the shows. I printed your post, So I'll more than likely be at them. ( I'm disabled, I broke my back in 3 places, so I never know till that morning) but you can bet, I'll be at most of them. I look foward to meeting you all. Thanks

Did you bring your 72 to the All Chevy Show in Cumberland RI last year? I guess I'm confused. That certainly looks like Jays old 72 and I know it was at that show with a new owner.

Hey Ernie, What are you confused about?? I don't get it. Are you saying some guy named Jay has a car like mine? It can't be, I've never seen one that looks just like mine anywhere in new england. And I've seen Jay's 72, it couldn't come close to this one. Heh, heh. You know, I was gonna have some fun with this, but I'm just too damn honest all the time. The Elky is Jay's old car, and the guy you saw at the show is Leo, the guy Jay sold it to. I just bought it this past August from this Leo. So I can understand your confusion. I know of 3 prior owners, after that, who knows. But the car is in such great shape, that I do know that it will never have another owner. It has found it's last home, as I intend to be buried in it. Cool, huh. Later Ernie.
