For the most part, the North East members can’t make the Midwest Chevelle Regional and El Camino show in St. Louis, MO. We’d love to go to an event where the feature vehicle is going to be “El Camino’s”, but the distance just puts it out of the question for us.

So, lets show are support and make a good ECC club showing by “Right Coast” North East members on Oct. 5 at the Dudley Lions “Yesteryear 2003” car show. It is going to be our first ECC event get together.

It is in a central location, easy on / off highway access, all paved parking for over 600 cars. A judged show with trophies including a class for El Camino's / Ranchero's, music, vendors, food, etc. Location is at Commerce Insurance parking area at Rt 16 and Rt 395 (exit 2) in Webster MA.

I would like to communicate via email / phone / or ECC with all North East ECC members. A lot of times, you can’t tell by a members online post information where they are located. I know of three North East members besides myself who will be attending. Lets get as many as possible to attend.

If your located in N.J., N.Y., CT, R.I., MA., N.H., VT, or ME., send a note with your email address, phone, or ECC ID so I can get a count for this event, or at least get a North East mailing list going.

Send info to Jay Levitan at jlevitan@holycross.edu, my day time phone is (508)793-3847, and night time is (508) 892-3229. I live in central MA.

Or contact John Harris, the North East regional director of NECOA,/ ECC at Johnh@dia.state.ma.us

We all might be stepping on each others toes (and that's OK with me) trying to get as many New England ECC members together as possible.

Just as an informal list, we have about 13 members for sure going to make the trip. We have members from six states and one from Canada attending.

We also have probally the only "mother/son" team attending. And you should see the pic's of her Elky! It is FANTASTIC!

I still think we can get a few more members to attend before all is said and done. So, if you know of any members who we might have missed, pass the word or have them get in touch with John Harris (johnh@dia.state.ma.us) or myself, Jay Levitan at jlevitan@holycross.edu

Hey Todd -- If you and the wife bring your '83 Choo-choo down from Nova Scotia, I'm sure you'll win the long-distance award among ECC/NECOA club members. That would be a nice El Camino T-shirt. Depending on when you cross the border into the People's Republic of Massachusetts, you might be able to join our caravan of local members down to Webster. Keep Jay and I posted on your travel plans. Have you considered the ferry from Yarmouth to Portland Maine? Lots less wheel time and a good nights sleep before arriving. Look forward to seeing you! John Harris

Morning Todd. Glad you got the power back. And that sucks that you can't make it down to the show, but we all understand. I'm sure we will be contact over the winter lining up some spring shows.

I know we will want to attend the Super Chevy show in Epping, N.H. around Memorial weekend next year. That should be closer to you. Allen and I attended last year. They have a seperate El Camino class. Allen took first place for "Street" El Camino. Pretty good show. But more on that spring stuff later..

Quick question. Should any of us bring anything extra besides what were bringing for ourselves? Like drinks, food, chairs, ect??

There should be plenty of food and drinks there to purchase. I usually bring a small cooler, but always tend to buy stuff at the show anyway.

Good question about the chairs though. I have two folding chairs that I bring. If anyone wants, or has room, to bring an extra, that would be great. We have some members coming by without Elky's.

Looks like the weather is going to be ok. Latest is for rain today (Saturday), ending tonight, and Sunday a cool party cloudy day.
