Several of us in Tulsa are organizing a chapter for all the El Camino owners in the Tulsa area. All of the core members are currently members of the Oklahoma Chevelle & El Camino club but thought we could should attempt to start a chapter specifically for El Caminos. There are a lot of El Caminos on the street and also current members of NECOA who are not members of the Chevelle & El Camino club. Those are the people we will target with some form of advertisement to let them know about the chapter and the NECOA. We will be at the Starbird show in February looking for new members with a goal of increasing attendance in the NECOA and at the '06 Regional show to be held in Tulsa in August. Currently we are in a membership drive and will be for the first part of '06. Later in '06 we will have an organizing meeting and determine activities the membership wants to undertake, the objective being to provide a forum for all El Camino owners who want one. Since it is difficult to identify ECC members in the Tulsa area by the member info I am asking that anyone interested in joining the Tulsa chapter email me at nlandin@cox.net with their contact info so we can discuss further the chapter and its role. Not that my el camino would be welcomed at club events being as how its probably the ugliest 69 you have ever seen but hay its a work in progress. :-D

Any way im putting a new tranny in soon and buliding the old one to hold some power the motor is going to be the run of mill 350 with some power added i want high to mid 12's out of a street car

anyway what that all boils down to is that its going to be anything but stock. i know alot of orgnaztions frown on that type of thing. I dont really like it stock. My job what i do every day is restore i want to moidfy my own stuff.
