i am going to paint my elky soon. i have an 85' with the two tone paint maroon and silver, i was going to paint it all one color. my question is what is the name of the maroon that came on the elky's stock?

I don't see a color called "maroon", but I do see a Number 79 color called "Dark Red Metallic". It looks pretty much like "maroon" to me. It seems to be the only "red type" color that was offered that year. Kinda tough to tell the color from a color chip in the book, though.

Are you looking for the original color? Check out the Body number plate. located under the hood on the top left side of the firewall near the windshield wiper arm shaft.

yeah im looking for the original color.i like the dark red metallic and i dont want to change every part in my interior if i was to change the color. thanks for your help.

In the 1985 sales brochure the Conquista paint options list :
Roof and Lower body color as :Silver(Metallic)12M
Hood and Center body color as:Dark Maroon(Metallic)79M
and the data sheet in the glove box should list the paint codes on the bottom of the sheet.
It sure looks Maroon to me in the brochure that I have.
