I will keep this as short as possible, saw this list and figured this a good place to start to find out what model of El Camino my father had. He's gone and so is the car he was restoring - (there's the boxes of parts for his 1955 Ford Truck too, swore he loved that sucker more than me sometimes, LOL). I have boxes of parts for it including inside door panel thingies, they are gray and are for a roll-up window because it's a round hole. As you can tell I know squat about this. Just wondering if I took a picture of the panels if a savvy someone could give me more insite. I am not finding part numbers so far is the other problem. Thanks so much for letting me post.

Welcome to ECC/NECOA Gloria. Feel free to post pictures. I'm sure someone here can help or at least get you in the ball park. If you have trouble posting pictures, you can email them to me at: jlevitan@holycross.edu .

Sorry to hear about your loss.

In the photo of things in the box, one is a cruise control thing you put on the steering wheel, the box says El Camino Cruise Control but there is a black box that is a part no. 25074710 37BH and I think that's for power windows? It could many different parts in this box. Thanks for taking your time to help me and for your kind words. Please if this is too much trouble, pass me by, I'd understand.[/img]

By the looks of those door panels, I'm gonna say they go to an 86 model.

Perhaps you latter model elky guys can verify or correct that guess.

Those are upper door panels off of a 5th Generation (78-87) I am not sure of the exact year.

Actually those are the upper door panels that will fit any G-body 2 door that uses the two piece panels.

I don't think those are exact for El Caminos of any year, but they should fit 78-87 as stated above.

Those upper door panel pull strap end covers were used on the 86-88 Monte Carlo. So the panels may be from a Monte. But, they could fit on any 5th gen El Camino too.

I don't know what a 5th generation El Camino means. Do you think that part number for the cruise control means anything? I am wondering if he didn't buy specific parts but are ones that will fit on his El Camino... I want to thank you all for helping with this, there's way too many parts all in the garage that I think I will eBay to get rid of them. Any idea how much those panels should be worth?

I need them and a lot of the other parts you showed us.
Prices go all over the place. Depends upon need, quality, color.
They ARE available new from Honest Charley's and others.

Send me a PM and we can discuss a price. I may be intersted in the whole bunch.

I don't know what a 5th generation El Camino means.
Sorry. A 5th generation El Camino is one from 1978 through 1987. Almost anything that will fit a 5th gen El Camino will also fit any 78-88 Monte Carlo.

I think I saw what I called light cups out there, will look better tonight after my son goes to bed, he's severely disabled and going out to the garage is not an option when he's awake. I know there's some long black plastic stuff too, still new in the boxes from a company also I found some more door insert looking things too.

Here is the box of parts all laid out for whomever is interested. I would sell the box first, let the person look at them and then decide to do more business. I don't want to screw anyone and you all don't know me from Eve. I do however, expect to make a little extra on it of course. I have a severely disabled child and need to pay bills. http://www.makingcensusofitall.com/elkypartsa.jpg http://www.makingcensusofitall.com/elkypartsb.jpg
What about $40.00 plus shipping? If the pictures do not show up here go to http://www.makingcensusofitall.com/elkypartsa.jpg and http://www.makingcensusofitall.com/elkypartsb.jpg

Is $40.00 too much? Just no one replied, not trying to insult...

Sounds like a fair price to me. A brand new cruise control lever runs about $80 from OPG. The rest of the stuff looks fairly common, although someone might be interested in the wiring harness, I'm not sure what its for?

Are you selling the air cleaner? If it's got a chrome lid I'd be interested.

Which one in that photo is the air cleaner? Sorry the only thing I can recognize in this bunch is the cruise control and that's only because it says "cruise control". Oh you mean that other photo! Sorry, yes, I want that gone too.

You guys rock!
Glenn, how much is your offer? $40.00 for the box, don't have a box for the panels as yet.
Air Cleaner, thought someone else wanted that, but didn't hear back from 'em.
Thanks for moving this over to the garage sale part, didn't realize this forum had one.
You all have been so helpful. Now, I wonder if there's a '55 Ford Pickup Forum, LOL.
Oh, I have a book on the El Camino and a dealership print.
