My 71 elcamino wont turnover dont know whats up!
I have a new alt and battery was working on the brake ligt switch and think i may have pulled something loose but cant find it anywhere unless its in the colum it a a/t and maybe i have a bad ground but dont know ,going to try new neg batt cable, cables are clean and still wont crank have lights and everything else electrical working no clicking anything at all just wont crank taped on the starter and nothing Help please

forgot to mention headlights were kinda dim before and seemed like it was nt starting like it should like batt was dying wouldnt jump off either was starting before woring on brakelight switch

check the fusible link at the starter.

8) If it's a column shift Isn't the neutral safety switch at the bottom of the column on a 71? If its a 4 speed it's on the pedal support next to the brake light switch.

i will look in the morning but found the purple/purple/white wires just cant find the other end its a automatic,will look for the fusable linktoo thanks ill post back

ok thanks it was the nss but ihad ti unscrew it to get to it fat hands How do i get it back in to function right? Help!!
